A Southern California native, Mary-Alex drew inspiration from her daughter’s first name and one of California’s top commodities to develop the pseudonym Citrus Fruit Snaps. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and was a contributing photographer for the Arts & Entertainment Section of the Daily Sundial while attending California State University, Northridge. She has shot local and touring musicians at nearly every venue in Los Angeles including the historic Hotel Cafe.
